What About Bob?
Hi, I’m Bob Rollins, aka SalesGuyBob
I grew up in a small town in South Carolina in the 60’s. My claim to fame as a kid was that in the 5th grade, I marched in the High School band at the Inauguration of Jimmy Carter. I had a love of music and in my Senior year, received 2 music scholarships but decided instead to join the U.S. Coast Guard.
What feels like a lifetime ago, I proudly followed in the footsteps of my Marine Corps father and my grandfather, a Navy POW during World War II, by joining the U.S. Coast Guard. During my service, I was part of missions ranging from fisheries patrols in the Bering Sea (yes, the Deadliest Catch crews called us when things went wrong), to serving as the on-scene commander coordinating search efforts after the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster. I also played a role in what was, at the time, the largest drug bust in U.S. history. I am a decorated wartime veteran of Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
After leaving the military, I spent several years as a government contractor, what some call a “Beltway Bandit”, working in classified environments, including the Pentagon, supporting the Joint Chiefs of Staff and operations in facilities that officially don’t exist. Now, with over 30 years of experience as a business turnaround specialist, my core expertise lies in streamlining operations, simplifying financial structures, and implementing cost controls that drive revenue growth for both domestic and international companies.
On a personal note, I am first and foremost a man of faith, committed to loving God and serving others. I’m also blessed to be married to the most incredible woman I know, my wife, business partner, and trusted accountant. Together, we’re raising five amazing children, ages 11 to 27, and enjoying life in the beautiful state of Colorado.
